Despite what people say and think now (sometimes myself included)President Bush won't be appreciated until 25 years from now. I actually heard a lecture/speech from one of my most liberal professors proclaiming that Bush will eventually be heralded as a great American president when the history books are rewritten.

Yep- it would take a re-writing of history to make him look good. This is part of what is wrong with the education system. Just change that part of the century, nobody will notice. Wonder how the Japanese teach WWII?

By lifting the ban for offshore drilling over the summer, it really put a dent in oil prices. Add that to falling demand, and the current economic issues and oil prices should continue to fall. Though foreign governments are trying their best to get oil prices to go back up because their budgets depend on it. Drill, baby, drill(just saying we will decreases value) but also do all you can in the other areas to solve the energy crisis.

Once the market fell and the speculators left, it dropped back to about 70 bucks per. That was what I thought the government could change, the amount of profit in the speculating. If we had made an effort, but it has fixed itself. Now if the rest of the country survives, and China..perhaps. Don't think they are used to doing biz like the US.
